'In The Balance' | 100 x 90 cm

There’s something special about revisiting a piece that has spoken to someone—and expanding its story. "In The Balance", pictured above, found a resonance with a collector who was drawn to its soft movement, quiet layering, and earthy tones.

The collector envisioned a larger version that would hold the same energy but on a more immersive scale while still inviting a sense of calm and introspection.

The result is "Reverie", a commissioned piece that echoes the mood of "In The Balance" but expands it with broader gestures and a more open rhythm. While both works share the same ethereal palette and textured atmosphere, "Reverie" allowed for a wider exploration of light and space—creating a dreamscape that feels both familiar and new.

Commissioning art is a beautiful collaboration, and this project was a reminder of how meaningful it is to create something that speaks personally to someone’s environment and emotions.

If you’re ever inspired by a piece and imagine it on a different scale — I’m always open to exploring what that could look like together.
